Music With No Lyrics

Listen to the song, I said and played Bella's lullaby for her to sleep. She became silent after sometime and I though she has slept.

"Doesn't the song has lyrics?", she asked suddenly.

"No. Its just music." I answered.

"I thought someone will start singing", she said.

"I didn't know that you will actually wait for the lyrics", I chuckled.

"Isn't this just like my life? I keep waiting and waiting thinking that I would get a life. But only at the end I realize that I have none, just like no lyrics for this song!", her voice trembled.

I was shocked. "Even with no lyrics isn't the song beautiful? Then why are your waiting for the lyrics?", that was the best I could come up with.

"humf. Thinking that the lyrics will start any time now and waiting for it, I forgot to enjoy the music so far. But now the music is over.", she lay on her side, staring wide eyed at me with a sparkling tear running down her cheek.

I didn't know what to say and am still thinking.

I have always wanted to be a boy/man. I mean, it's a thought or desire that I have always had since my teen to be born in a different gender because of all the benefits the other gender gets. It was second week in a row. Abhi was going through a new developmental milestone – walking. Though this was super exciting for Meera, she was not able to enjoy it completely since new milestone leads to behavioral regression, which in Abhi’s case was always sleep regression.
