2011 - the year that was!!

OMG! What a year!!

For the most part of the year I was detesting and detaching myself! This year was filled with searches...
  • Search for job!
  • Search for the long lost friends.
  • Search for PG!
  • Search for a shoulder to cry.
  • Search for the lost person in me!
But right now, as I am moving expectantly towards 2012 I am glad to say 'All Is Well'!!

So what did I really do in this year?? Major part was wasted though! In a nutshell:
  • Got a new awesome mobile (According to me! :D), which has made me chat addict.
  • Went to Bangalore against my dad's wish
  • Worked in one of the best companies for a short stint!
  • Went into a dilemma of my career!
  • Made 'stranger' friends after a loooooooooooooong time!! (Finally breathing!)
  • Went ahead and found all my friends with whom I had lost contact
  • Made amends with my mom and now feel she is the best mommy!! (I still cant believe that me saying this!)
  • Had the best time with Va'haa babes for four months! :)
  • Found a soul mate in Su'ya!
  • Cut my loooong hair short! :D
  • Waiting to start on the extra money source... (Also due to the voice I hear on the phone! eeeee) Thanks to Ka'ik!
  • Will be joining gym for sure! (lol - the usual resolution though!)
  • Confiscated my debit cards from my dad and spending like HELL!
  • FINALLY found a job and a company which I am loving TOTALLY!
On this note I am really hoping that 2012 will be like awesome with the recovered me!!

I have a life and I am LOVING IT!!

2012 I am going to hug you and cherish you from day one! :D

Men I Met (Through proper channel)!

Wow.. It’s less than a week and here I am writing another blog post. Maybe it is the strong sensation of desire to stick to at least one of my New Year resolutions! This post is also part of my ‘write drunk and edit sober’ series! 2016 has just began and already people I know (and don’t know) have started to hope and wish that I’ll be married by this year end. Well, I can’t blame them though! People who know me well are aware that the process of finding a groom started in 2011, i.e. a year after my sister got married. So they are obviously thinking ‘Why is she still single?’ People whom I don’t know well are thinking ‘She is 28! Oh gosh! Why isn’t she married yet? Doesn’t she know that her biological clock is ticking?’ The worst part about both the sides is that they start to give me advice on how to speed up the process. It usually starts with shedding few extra kilos and ends up with lowering the expectations! I wish to take all their opinions on a positive note ...

Boy Meeting the Girl - BMG!

‘You got to be kidding me’ I was telling to myself for the nth time. Sitting in front of me was Keshav (Keshavan Kottakal), a Nair groom from a proper Tharavad in Pallakad. He is working in an IT company in Chennai for the last three years, with a salary that has allowed him to buy an i-20 and a house in one of the posh locations in the outskirts of the city. He is the younger among two brothers. His father is no more and his mother is settled with his elder brother in USA taking care of her five month old grandchild. Basically his application for the post of ‘son-in-law’ was not just suffice but more than perfect for my dad. Keshav was the sixth or seventh ‘probable groom’ I am meeting in the last three months. All the men whom I met during the drama of ‘boy meeting the girl’ (BMG) were more or less the same.
